WEEK 1

Hello readers !

Today is my post on this blog. This blog is officially a reflective journal for me along Cellular And Developmental Biology ( BSM 3101 ) subject . Our lecturer for first for first 7 weeks is PM Dr. Parameswari Namasivayam.

Reflecting on Cellular and Developmental Biology as a subject and connecting it to the things i have learn in class and out side the class makes the understanding of world of science looks simple. This subject has made me realized that there is a reason, behind every creation in this Earth from ancient time till now.

Cellular and Development Biology is an important subject in my future career as a immunologist because taking the class has given me a broad knowledge on what, how, and when things happens in the basics. So far the chapters we have learned makes me conclude that Cellular and Development Biology is the basic of all the science courses and its understanding is very crucial in succeeding in any field of science especially related to molecular biology. Currently i can link Cellular and Developmental Biology to Microbiology and Chemistry and i am very positive that every single thing i learn and do in this class is relevant to my future career goals.

Even though this class has all the learning styles, I learn best in listening and explaining things in my own words. The two most important things i have learn so far is the introductory which made me understand the nature and significance of Cellular and Developmental Biologyy as a field of study. The first made me realized why i am taking this class and what to expect from the class, with genetics, its kind of amazing linking it to God's creation. How this tiny organisms produces, their genes, genomes and etc is interesting to learn in details about them.

My confusing or biggest challenge in this class is the fact that i already forgot what i already learn on my foundation studies. Im so lucky because i managed to refer to my own reference book ( Mader Biology 12th Edition ). It takes time to understand certain words and digest things in class because of different ways of pronunciations or accent. Diverting from the holiday mood has not been easy but my seriousness in class and trust in God has always kept me excelling and and will continue to do my best by reading more and following instructions and hopeful i will excel more .

So this is what I learnt from the class :

The picture above is Charles Darwin (Charles Robert Darwin). He is an English naturalist and also a geologist who is the one who gave out the 'Evolution Theory'.

One of the example of Darwin's Evolution theory. The theory that human is originally arise from monkey/ ape. This picture came across my mind when my lecturer said 'Evolution'. What a ridiculous theory it is ((( according to me )) But, in this course, I open my mind widely . So yeah, just learn !
